Eye Care Associates – Rutland, VT

N&B, under the guidance of seasoned Superintendent John Crossman, took an abandoned insurance service center and created a welcoming new space that is the home of Eye Care Associates. A previous 4-bay garage was turned into 4 spacious exam rooms, a staff kitchen, and other utility spaces. The restrooms and mechanical rooms remained in their previous location, but they all received a "facelift" with new floor finishes and wall treatments. The new office is equipped with a large Laboratory, a Laser Room, and a large Tech Room. The re-vamped entry welcomes patients into a room, comfortable reception area and Waiting Room. Although the existing HVAC system was kept intact, a new gas fired furnace was also installed to meet comfort and code requirements. New areas were retrofitted with new light fixtures, and a new power plan to meet the needs of the current owners. With the new floor plan, acoustic ceilings, interior wall finishes and floor finishes throughout, the interior space is unrecognizable from where it began. The exterior was renovated with some new siding a fresh coat of paint to exterior doors.
