Middlebury Commons – Middlebury, VT

In 2011 Naylor & Breen replaced over 190 windows in 64 apartment units, with all but one unit fully occupied, at Middle-bury Commons in Middlebury, Vermont. Middlebury Commons is a senior living facility The main challenge of this job was completing all of the tasks at hand with as little disturbance to the residents as possible. Kim Levins and Donny Houle orchestrated a schedule to allow for al-most zero disturbance for all tenants including having all of the windows on site before any work started. Naylor & Breen utilized their fabrication shop to allow for off site prefabrication of all interior and exterior trim materials. This allowed for the duration of on site work to be minimized and thus reducing the impact on the residents. This extra planning ahead of time turned what could have been a coordination challenge and a potentially unpleasant experience for the residents into a very smooth project for all involved.
